Market Garden
At Kirkstall Valley we care about the foods we eat and have created a vegetable patch in our picnic area where we are currently growing a variety of herbs and vegetables . Mrs Dilucia, our Learning Mentor and Mr Mapp, our Site Manager, have put in a lot of time and effort to get this project up and running and the children are thoroughly enjoying being involved.
Our School Council have played a big part and Mrs Crank our Head Cook is going to be working with the children preparing and cooking our newly grown produce.
We are hoping our Market Garden will be a big success, providing the school with fresh home grown produce and selling the surplus to parents and friends.
